Frequently Asked Questions

Interactive Training Center Questions

How long does it take to get through the program?
A: On average, it will take 9 months to a year for the average person to get through the training course.  This can be shorter or longer depending on several factors like prior experience, amount of time devoted to it, etc… It can also be shortened by having us build a customized hotel marketing plan that you implement.

Can I pay monthly?
A: We have done everything we can to make this training program as affordable as possible.  Because we invest our personal time in helping each member individually, we are primarily looking for innkeepers who are committed for the long term.  For that reason, we only allow yearly payments at this time.

Who answers my questions?
A: Your questions are answers by the creators of the course.  We want to ensure our members have the best assistance possible at all times.

How long does it take to get my questions answered?
A: Depending on our availability, anytime between immediately to a few hours is customary during normal business hours.

What types of questions can I ask?
A:  Any question related to the course material.  We can not answer questions specific to your lodging property as that service is reserved for our Quick Start Custom Review clients.

I am not very computer literate.  Is this course too complicated for me?
A: If you can log on to a web site, you will be fine.  The Internet is becoming more and more dominant in hospitality and longer you ignore this trend, the harder it will be to keep your business profitable.  The course has been edited by novices to make them as easy as possible to use and also utilize video where necessary for better explanations.  You can also feel confident in knowing that we are here to help you with any difficulties you may have.

Quick Start Custom Review Questions

How are the marketing plans structured?
A: Our marketing plans are designed to act as step-by-step guides that show you exactly what you need to do to market your inn for maximum occupancy.  They are structured by marketing category (i.e. Web Site Design, Search Engine Optimization, etc...) with each category containing specific advice about your property as well as general guidelines and theory. They are built to provide a functional, customized marketing plan that you or your staff can implement for real results.  They are not designed to replace a standard business plan that you would use for purposes like obtaining funding.

What is the average report length?
A: On average the marketing plans are 50 to 100 pages long, however, each report is completely custom so report length varies greatly by each individual hospitality property.

How long does it take to receive my report?
A:  About three to six weeks on average.  We will notify you if it is expected to take longer.

How long does it take to implement the findings and recommendations?
A: This is entirely dependant on the amount of time you put into it.  Since the specific strategy is already laid out for you, it can be considerably faster than with the Interactive Training Center.

What topics can I ask you questions about?
A: Any questions relating to your property’s marketing plan or the material in the Interactive Training Center.

I am not very computer literate.  Will implementing the marketing plan be too difficult?
A: The marketing plans provide step-by-step instructions and you have direct e-mail access to us in order to help you with any difficulties you experience.  You also have access to the Interactive Training Center to provide you with additional training.  We will do whatever we can to help you succeed.

Full Service Questions

What do you mean when you say you limit your client base?
A:  It is our intention to do everything possible for our clients.  Any business can only take on so many clients before the quality of their services decline.  We made a commitment to ourselves and our clients to focus on the quality of our services, not the quantity.

Do you build web sites?
A: Occasionally, yes.  For the most part, we prefer to stay with longer term marketing projects beyond simply building a web site.
